The Gelpi Self-Retaining Retractor is a small surgical site retractor, which utilises a rack and ratchet lock. This small spreader is suitable for small sites such as perineal dog surgery. Named after its inventor, Dr. Eugen Gelpi, this retractor features curved prongs that are manually positioned and then locked into place, holding the tissue or organ securely throughout the procedure. The points of the retractor are bright polished for improved cleaning efficacy. The rack of the retractor is intricately laser welded. The instrument is manufactured from 420 stainless steel to British standard BS5194 and comes with a lifetime guarantee against faulty workmanship and materials.
